“The Son of God”

The chief priests and the officers saw Jesus and cried out,
“Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”  Pilate said to them,
“You take Him and crucify Him yourselves. I find no fault in Him.”
The Jews answered him,
“We have a law, and according to our law He ought to die,
because He made Himself the Son of God.”
John 19:7

To the Jews, the concept of “the Son of God” meant the Creator, Yehowah God.
The Messiah they were waiting for was the Everlasting Father who would come as a Son.
But when they judged Jesus according to the law they had made for themselves,
they decided that He did not fit their expectations.
So they accused Jesus of blasphemy and put Him to death.

What about today?
Even now, the modern-day chief priests and officers cry out that Jesus is not the Creator,
Yehowah God, the Everlasting Father who came in the flesh.

They insist that the Son of God existed from the beginning as someone distinct from Yehowah God.
Others say that it does not matter one way or another.

As long as they have a god who will grant the desires of their hearts here on earth, they are satisfied.
The “Son of God” is Yehowah, the Creator God who came in the flesh as man.
He is the very source and foundation of creation,
and He became flesh and blood for His children and swallowed up death.
Hallelujah!
