Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly
realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ,
in accordance with his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace,
which he has freely given us in the One he loves. Ephesians 1:3-6
Someone said this:
“What I want is prosperity, and the Bible promises it, but it doesn’t deliver,
and I can relate to that.
I don’t understand why my life is so difficult, and I get scared when God tells me to keep going.”
“The blessed gift from heaven is the gospel.
Upon hearing that joyful news, if you believe it in your heart,
you will receive all the spiritual blessings from heaven.
It is great gift of grace prepared before the creation of the world.”
Paul prayed like this:
“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father,
may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you
may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
That power is like the working of his mighty strength…” Ephesians 1:17-19
The history of the root becoming the descendant.
The history of the father becoming the son.
The great love that sought out His children.
The Creator becoming human, becoming a sacrifice on the cross,
and through the resurrection showing who the Lord of life is.
This is the spiritual blessing from heaven.
Everyone who receives that blessing praises the glory of His grace. Hallelujah!!
