“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators,
and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire
and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8)
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus,
and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved…” (Romans 10:9)
If one does not believe in the heart that Jesus is Yehowah who became flesh and that He rose from the dead,
then that person belongs among the fearful, the abominable, murderers, fornicators, sorcerers, idolaters,
and liars, because the Holy Spirit is not in their heart.
If one does not believe in the one Yehowah God alone, all are idolaters.
Even living a life where one is their own master makes oneself an idol.
That is why people live according to what seems right in their own eyes.
It is not that God sends people to hell simply because they lied; rather,
they lie because they do not believe in God. James defined what it means to believe in God in this way:
“My brethren, what does it profit if a man says he has faith but does not have works?
Can that faith save him?” (James 2:14)
“For the carnal mind is enmity against God;
for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then,
those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” (Romans 8:7–8)
A person who lives according to the flesh sets their mind on the flesh
and bears the fruit of the flesh, and in the end enters the fire of burning sulfur.
Therefore, God calls us to believe the gospel in our hearts and become people of life and peace.
The gospel—that Jesus Christ is Yehowah who became flesh and rose from the dead is the grace
that transforms our minds from the flesh to the Spirit, the eternal life
that transfers us from death to life, and a blessing. Hallelujah!!
