Shall call His name Immanuel

“I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of Yehovah,’
as the prophet Isaiah said.” John 1:23

When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb.
Then Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and exclaimed with a loud voice:

“Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!
And why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

For behold, when the sound of your greeting reached my ears,
the baby in my womb leaped for joy.”  Luke 1:41–44

Elizabeth’s Lord was not God the Son, but Yehovah God,
because it was not until the fourth century that Jesus was officially defined as God the Son.

How could the baby in Mary’s womb be Elizabeth’s Lord?
It was because Elizabeth believed exactly what the prophets of the Old Testament had foretold.

If one believes that Yehovah God, the Creator, came as a baby,
then the child in Mary’s womb becomes Immanuel, her Lord.

However, the Word belongs to those who believe it as it is. Whether in ancient times or today,
if a person does not believe, the Word has nothing to do with that person,
and that person cannot receive salvation.
For salvation is obtained by believing that Jesus is Yehovah.

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold,
a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son,

and shall call His name Immanuel.”   Isaiah 7:14

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given;
and the government shall be upon His shoulder.
And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”  Isaiah 9:6

Jesus Christ is the Everlasting Father, the one Yehovah God who came as a baby,
and He rose from the dead for us.  Hallelujah!!
