“The Yehowah Is My Strength”

“O Yehowah, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of affliction,
the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say,
‘Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity,
and things wherein there is no profit.’ Shall a man make gods unto himself,
and they are no gods?”
Jeremiah 16:19–20

The people of Israel followed the vain and false gods that had been handed down by their fathers.
Although the Yehowah God, the Creator, repeatedly declared that there is no God besides Him, they would not listen.

Even today, many people believe that Jesus is a second person of God who existed from the beginning.
Yet a first, second, and third God did not exist in the beginning. Such a god does not exist at all.
Nevertheless, people continue to believe in such a concept. They have no desire to turn back.
Whether that god is true or false seems to matter little to them,
because they assume that whatever they believe must be right.

If the prophet Jeremiah were alive today, he would proclaim the same message:
“Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?”

The true God is the Yehowah who came in the flesh as Jesus Christ.
He is the Creator and the Savior. That God became a man and rose from among the dead.
This is the holiest and most joyful good news ever given to us.  Hallelujah!

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Yehowah, and whose hope the Yehowah is.”
Jeremiah 17:7
