The Lord of Heaven and Earth

“The God who made the world and everything in it,
being Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing,
seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things.”
 Acts 17:24–25

“And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them,
and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered,
and risen again from the dead;

And that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.”  Acts 17:2–3

“The Yehowah is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
All thy works shall praise thee, O Yehowah; and thy saints shall bless thee.”
Psalm 145:9–10

The God whom Paul encountered was the Yehowah God, the Creator of heaven and earth,
who became a man and was raised from the dead as our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul had never heard of nor encountered a triune God. He encountered only the Creator God,
the Lord of heaven and earth. Besides Him, Paul knew no other God.

The risen Lord whom Paul met is the very God who promised to abolish death.

The God whom we have come to know must be the same God whom Paul encountered,
for He alone is the Lord of heaven and earth, the King of kings, and the King of life.
Hallelujah!
