I am the one of whom the prophet Isaiah spoke, saying,
“There is a voice of one crying in the wilderness,
Prepare ye the way of the Yehowah, make his paths straight.”
Matthew 3:3
I am the Yehowah thy God, which divided the sea, whose waves roared:
the Yehowah of hosts is my name. Isaiah 51:15
Before the Yehowah God became man, He appointed John to prepare the way before Him.
And the prophet Isaiah saw beforehand and believed that the Yehowah God would come as a child, die, and rise again.
That God is the Yehowah God who created all things.
The people of Israel persecuted and killed the prophets, even though the prophets proclaimed who the Yehowah is.
The apostles also became martyrs because they proclaimed that Jesus Christ is the Creator and that He had risen from the dead.
Even today, people reject those who believe that Jesus is the Yehowah.
Although this is so clearly recorded in the Scriptures, they are unwilling to tear down the idols they have made for themselves.
This was done to fulfill the word of the prophet Isaiah, which he spoke:
“Yehowah, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Yehowah been revealed?”
Therefore they could not believe. Isaiah said again:
“He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes,
nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.”
These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spake of him. John 12:38–41
