Countless comments under Christian videos have become battlefields.
The arguments begin with whether God exists, and if God does exist, who that God is.
The fighting goes on endlessly.
Today, in that battlefield, I noticed one person who spoke nothing but the Word.
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah,
from you shall come forth for Me One who is to be ruler in Israel,
whose origins are from of old, from ancient days. (Micah 5:2)
And the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid.
For behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
And this will be a sign for you:
you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased.” (Luke 2:8–14)
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and shall call His name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14)
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder,
and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and of peace there will be no end,
on the throne of David and over His kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it
with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore.
The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this. (Isaiah 9:6–7)
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me
to bring good news to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives, and freedom to the prisoners;
to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn. (Isaiah 61:1–2)
I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you;
I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations,
to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon,
from the prison those who sit in darkness. (Isaiah 42:6–7)
Behold My servant, whom I uphold, My chosen, in whom My soul delights;
I have put My Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.
He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street;
a bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench;
he will faithfully bring forth justice. He will not grow faint or be discouraged
till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law. (Isaiah 42:1–4)
Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD,
when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch,
and he shall reign as king and deal wisely,
and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. (Jeremiah 23:5)
In that day the root of Jesse, who shall stand as a signal for the peoples
of him shall the nations inquire, and his resting place shall be glorious. (Isaiah 11:10)
Thus says the LORD: In a time of favor I have answered you;
in a day of salvation I have helped you;
I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people, to establish the land,
to apportion the desolate heritages. (Isaiah 49:8)
I will make you as a light for the nations, that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth. (Isaiah 49:6)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)
He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him,
and without Him was not anything made that was made. (John 1:2–3)
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory,
glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness.
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death
even death on a cross. Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place
and gave Him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:6–11)
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and His name shall be called Immanuel” which means, God with us. (Matthew 1:22–23)
Amen! Halleluyah!!
