“Beautiful Virtue”

Has a nation ever changed its gods, even though they are not gods?
But My people have exchanged their Glory for what is worthless.

“My people have committed two evils:
They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters,
And hewn for themselves cisterns broken cisterns
That can hold no water.” (Jeremiah 2:11, 13)

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation…(Colossians 1:15)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood,
a holy nation, a people belonging to God,

that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him
who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)

While working in the comment sections, I meet a great variety of people.
Today I encountered someone like this:

(I pray in tongues for an hour at a time, and I feel good and happy.
My prayers are gradually being answered.
If you are struggling, try praying in tongues for one hour with all your might. You will become happy.)

People truly exchange the true God for false gods and trade the glory of God for what is worthless—
all just to feel good and be happy in this world.

In shamanistic practices, people also speak in tongues during spirit-possession rituals.
In Hinduism and Buddhism, similar phenomena are said to occur in deep states of meditation.
They too may be seeking pleasant feelings and happiness.

But the Creator and the Source of life became man and swallowed up death.
The glory of God cannot be exchanged for anything.
For it is eternal life.   Hallelujah!
