Christ Is the Image of God

But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.
Among them, the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers,
so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,
who is the image of God.  2 Corinthians 4:3–4

I have met people who, after listening to stories of false gods, have fallen into vain delusions.
It is truly a sad and heartbreaking story.
How will these people ever come to meet the true God?
If they hear the gospel, will they listen with open ears?

The Yehowah has sent to you all His servants the prophets again and again,
rising early and sending them,
but you did not listen, nor did you incline your ear to hear.  Jeremiah 25:4

If they had heard from the beginning that there is no other God besides the LORD,
perhaps they would not have fallen into such delusions.
Still, these are people who at least try to search for something,
wandering about while watching videos.
Yet because there is no one to preach, they cannot hear the gospel.

To have heard the gospel is the boundless grace of God,
but people respond to it indifferently.
“What is so special about it?
What is there to be so astonishing?
Isn’t it all the same in the end?
So many people believe in the Trinity are you saying they are wrong?
They are so devoted, and they receive so many blessings from God…”

Even now, God rises early and persistently declares
that besides Him there is no Savior.
Yet there are no listeners.
Other gods appear pleasing to the eye, desirable for food,
and attractive because they seem to give wisdom.
But they are greed, falsehood, delusion, and death.

God is one. There is no other god besides the LORD God.
That God Himself came in the flesh and rose from the dead.
Jesus Christ is the very essence of God and the image of God. Hallelujah!
