In a recently uploaded video claiming to “perfectly explain the Trinity,” I encountered someone like this.
You, too, have never truly escaped the boundaries of traditional Catholic theology
or Calvinist Reformed systematic theology.
What you are asserting is nothing more than a vague and ambiguous doctrine of the Trinity.
When God reveals Himself and makes Himself known,
He does not speak of Himself as a being humans can never understand.
He is not the author of confusion or testing in that sense.
The word Trinity does not appear even once in Scripture.
To claim belief in “one God,” while simultaneously describing the Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit as three distinct persons engaged in deep fellowship and relationship,
is whether consciously or unconsciously to believe in three gods. This is nothing short of blasphemy.
To insist that something must be believed unconditionally despite not being understood is foolishness.
Moreover, this becomes a form of hypocrisy pretending that one possesses a superior faith by believing
what others cannot understand, as though incomprehensibility itself were a virtue.
If the Trinity cannot be understood or explained, then it is a theology that must be boldly abandoned.
Why? Because salvation comes only by believing in and following Jesus Christ alone.
The Yehowah God who chose and led the people of Israel is Jesus Christ.
And the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Under heaven no other name has been given by which we must be saved only my Lord,
my God, Jesus Christ. He alone is my way, my truth, my salvation, my resurrection, and my life.
Out of fear and terror toward the doctrine of the Trinity
which the apostles of the early Church never once used people are told,
“Don’t question it, don’t ask, just believe it,” as though purchasing spiritual insurance.
But God neither desires nor permits such ignorance and foolishness.
If one must explain God, it would be far better to speak of God working across different dimensions,
each of which God Himself clearly created.
The blasphemy of the Trinity, I dare to claim, is a detestable theological theory
that Satan has given to the world much like the theory of evolution.
To speak of “three” while claiming “one God” is itself an abomination.
Many point to the scene where Jesus is baptized by John in the Jordan River where the voice declares,
“This is My beloved Son,” and the Spirit descends like a dove as evidence of a Trinitarian manifestation.
But this passage must be interpreted with Jesus Christ at the center.
It reveals that Jesus Christ is the LORD God who has spoken from the beginning,
and that after His resurrection and ascension, He works as the Holy Spirit.
I will gladly accept being labeled a heretic.
As long as Jesus Christ the one God, the Alpha and the Omega receives all the glory, nothing else matters.
I will conclude with Isaiah 9:6:
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
I applaud the one who boldly proclaims the truth.
I am truly glad to have met someone who walks this path together with me.
Hallelujah!
