Yehowah God Who Swallowed Up Death

“I have hope in God, which they themselves also cherish,
that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.

And for this reason, I am being judged by you today,
concerning the resurrection of the dead.”

Acts 24:15, 21

“He will swallow up death in victory;
and the Lord Yehowah will wipe away tears from all faces,
and the rebuke of His people shall He take away from all the earth:
for the Yehowah hath spoken it.”    Isaiah 25:8

“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me,
saying unto me, ‘Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore,
Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.’”    Revelation 1:17–18

The Yehowah God, who promised in the Old Testament
that He would swallow up death, personally fulfilled that promise in the New Testament.

He Himself became a man, died, and rose again from the dead.

Jesus Christ is not the name of a Son-God who existed from eternity as a separate person.
Rather, this is the name given to the Creator because He Himself came to this earth and became a man.
The Everlasting Father came in flesh and blood and was called Jesus Christ.

That is why the name Jesus Christ means,
“Yehowah is salvation.”

What an amazing mystery, what an unfathomable secret of grace and love
that God Himself became a man and swallowed up death!
Hallelujah!
