“The Yehowah opens the eyes of the blind; the Yehowah lifts up
those who are bowed down; the Yehowah loves the righteous.” Psalm 146:8
“My people have committed two sins: they have forsaken Me,
the fountain of living waters, and have dug for themselves cisterns broken cisterns
that cannot hold water.” Jeremiah 2:13
“For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
For, being ignorant of God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own,
they did not submit to the righteousness of God.” Romans 10:2–3
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony for the churches.
I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright Morning Star.” Revelation 22:16
The Yehowah, who said He would open the eyes of the blind, came in the flesh and personally opened the eyes of the blind.
He raised those who were crippled and bowed down, and He loved the righteous who believed and followed Him.
He is both the Root and the Offspring of David.
The Creator becoming a creature this is the righteousness of God. But because of distorted ideas about God,
this event where the Creator became a created being has been buried in the ground,
while a false god shaped by human concepts is flying high in the sky.
So people keep building up their own righteousness in a broken cistern.
No matter how much they pour in, it leaks out.
Countless people waste their lives trying to achieve something by their own zeal,
hoping to be acknowledged and enter heaven.
But human zeal has no true standard, because it is not the path God has set.
Jesus Christ is the one and only God yet many refuse to believe this in their hearts.
Instead, they try to establish their own righteousness and do not submit to God’s righteousness.
God has already declared the outcome of those who live this way:
“He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction,
away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might
when He comes on that day to be glorified in His saints and to be marveled at among all who have believed,
because our testimony to you was believed.” 2 Thessalonians 1:8–10
If one believes that the Creator became a creature and rose from the dead for them, God calls that person righteous.
If this truth is believed in the heart, one is righteous; if it is not believed, one is wicked.
Human standards cannot lead to salvation, because they differ from person to person.
Only the one gospel established by God becomes the true standard that separates the righteous from the wicked.
Jehovah became a man, died, and rose again, revealing eternal life.
By believing this truth, I continue to hope today that all people, even those at the ends of the earth, will return to the Lord.
Hallelujah.
