“A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;
The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means;
and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”
Jeremiah 5:30–31
People prefer to believe in a Trinitarian God three persons but one God rather than believe the truth that God is one.
When they hear about the Trinity, they feel reassured. But when they hear the truth that God is one, they become uneasy.
They are afraid that they may have to give up the religious zeal they have built up over the years,
because they pursue the approval of people more than the pleasure of God.
The Word of God is still solemn and serious today.
“Taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord,
and from the glory of his power.” 2 Thessalonians 1:8–9
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
2 Timothy 4:3–4
Those who follow fables will face the lake of fire in the end.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers,
and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8
Jesus Christ is the Creator.
If He is the Creator, then Jesus is Jehovah God.
That God came in flesh and blood for His children, and by His resurrection He swallowed up death for His children.
