Jesus did not say,
“I am the cross and death…”
Rather, He said,
“I am the resurrection and the life…”
Through death, Jesus destroyed the devil by the power of resurrection life.
He did not say that He defeated the devil by death itself.
Yet people often say the same thing:
“You place too much emphasis on the resurrection…
The love shown on the cross is so amazing…”
The prophets foresaw and believed that Jehovah God would become a man and,
by rising from among the dead, would abolish death.
The apostles of the New Testament proclaimed that the Creator,
who came as a child, had risen from the dead.
The gospel that Paul preached was the gospel of resurrection life.
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible,
the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy,
according to the prophecies which went before on thee,
that thou by them mightest war a good warfare.
1 Timothy 1:17–18
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised
from the dead according to my gospel. 2 Timothy 2:8
Jesus Christ is Jehovah, the Creator who became man, and the Almighty God.
The Everlasting Father came into this world as a man to seek His children,
and through His resurrection He abolished their death. Hallelujah!
