Behold, I will bring back the shadow of the sun ten degrees backward,
which has gone down on the sundial of Ahaz.
So the sun went backward ten degrees on the dial by which it had gone down. Isaiah 38:8
The Creator, who made the shadow of the sun move backward ten degrees as a sign to Hezekiah,
became flesh, paid the price for my sins on the cross, and rose from the dead to give me eternal life.
The very God who created all things became a man and spoke to His disciples.
He told them to be poor in spirit, to mourn, to be meek, to hunger and thirst after righteousness,
to be merciful, to be pure in heart, to be peacemakers, and to be persecuted for righteousness’ sake…
He told them to rejoice and be exceedingly glad when they were reviled,
persecuted, and falsely accused of all kinds of evil things for His sake…
On the mountain, Jesus Christ, Yehowah who had become flesh, continued speaking to His disciples:
“For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes
and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20
“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee…
And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee.” Matthew 5:29–30
“Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away…
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:42, 48
“Be the salt and the light of the world. Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:13, 16
