“Unable to Speak Openly”

Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about Him.
Yet at the same time, many even among the rulers believed in Jesus;
but because of the Pharisees, they could not speak openly,
for they feared being put out of the synagogue. (John 12:41–42)

I used to read the Bible without even understanding what this passage meant.
Isaiah saw Jesus’ glory beforehand? What does that even mean?
I never really stopped to think about it.
I was simply reading the Bible, not even realizing that I was just reading it blindly.

How could I have known that the Yehowah God
whom Isaiah proclaimed would become a man and rise from the dead?
The god I believed in had been three from the beginning.

Some people cannot openly declare that Jesus is the Yehowah who became flesh.
They are afraid of being cast out of the community they belong to.
But there are others who say they cannot help but speak of what they have seen—
even if they are imprisoned, cast out, or threatened with their lives, they cry out loudly:
“The Jesus whom you crucified is the Yehowah, and the One who rose from the dead is the Yehowah God…”

As they were speaking to the people, the priests,
the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them,

being greatly disturbed because they were teaching the people
and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.

They seized them, and since it was already evening,
they put them in custody until the next day…
(Acts 4:1–3)

Those who have seen the cross of Jesus proclaim the cross,
and those who have seen His resurrection proclaim the resurrection.
Even now, the living God desires that we proclaim the God who rose from the dead. Hallelujah!!
