“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.
Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Romans 8:9
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ and the Spirit of Yehowah.
The Holy Spirit comes upon us when we believe in our hearts
that the risen Jesus Christ is Jehovah who came in flesh and blood.
The coming of the Holy Spirit means that we have become God’s saved people.
And when the Holy Spirit comes upon us, we become people of Christ.
When we become Christ’s people, the Holy Spirit leads us to become witnesses of Jesus.
This is the evidence of having received the Holy Spirit.
When we believe that the Creator became a man for us and rose from the dead,
we can no longer live a life in which we are our own master.
In other words, it becomes impossible for us to continue living with ourselves as the master of our lives.
Therefore, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world:
and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”
