“David himself therefore calls Him Lord; so how is He then his Son?”
And the common people heard Him gladly. Mark 12:37
“To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all;
being by interpretation King of righteousness,
and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days,
nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.” Hebrews 7:2–3
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.
I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” Revelation 22:16
The One who could not merely be David’s descendant the King of Righteousness,
the King of Salem, the One who has neither father nor mother, no genealogy,
no beginning of days nor end of life, and who remains a priest forever became the Son of David.
This means that the very Source of all things became a man.
The God who is the origin of everything came in flesh and blood and, in doing so, became His own Son.
If one does not believe that Jesus is Jehovah, the meaning of these passages cannot be understood.
One may read the Scriptures diligently and yet fail to understand what they are saying,
while mistakenly believing that one already knows them.
Jesus Christ is the Jehovah God whom Abraham believed, the King of Righteousness,
and the King of Peace. He came in flesh and blood, rose from the dead,
and swallowed up all our sin and death. This is the Gospel. Therefore, Jesus Christ Himself is the Gospel.
Hallelujah!

and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?” Acts 8:30
