How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another
and do not seek the glory that comes from God alone? John 5:44
People often have little interest in the truth when they hear it because of the satisfaction
they derive from their religious life.
They are even afraid that they might come to understand the truth.
What the people of Israel delighted in was something shocking and dreadful.
“An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land:
The prophets prophesy lies,
The priests rule by their own authority,
And My people love it this way.
But what will you do in the end?”
Jeremiah 5:30–31
Then Yehovah said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in My name.
I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them.
They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, worthless things,
and the deceit of their own minds.”
Jeremiah 14:14
Who is wise enough to understand this?
Who has been instructed by the mouth of Yehovah and can explain it?
Why has the land perished and become like a desert,
burned up so that no one passes through it?
Yehovah said, “It is because they have forsaken My law, which I set before them;
they have not obeyed My voice or walked according to it.
Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their own hearts
and have gone after the Baals, as their fathers taught them.”
Jeremiah 9:12–14
While despising the gospel ordained by God, people follow the doctrine of the Trinity.
They are pursuing another Baal.
Jesus Christ is Yehovah, the Creator and Savior who became a man,
and the one God who rose from the dead for our sake.
This truth alone is the true truth that gives us eternal life. Hallelujah!
