Even those who rejected the Law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot,
who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Imagine this! (Hebrews 10:28–29)
To the person who said that Jesus was putting on a show, I shared the word of God and also asked a question:
Will you believe the word of God?
Or will you believe doctrines made by men in the Catholic Church?
As you prepare a sermon like Paul, using the Old Testament to testify that Jesus is the Christ,
would you not come to realize that God is one?
The Creator, the Yehowah God, humbled Himself and came as a descendant of man.
He declares that He alone created all things, that He alone is the Creator and Savior, and that there is no other god.
Yet if one does not believe His word, it is to insult the Spirit of grace,
and such a person will receive the punishment they deserve.
Those who think, “It’s enough just to believe in God in my heart—why argue over details?”
are very unlikely to have truly understood the gospel or to be living a life that proclaims it.
You must examine, verify, wrestle with it, and make a decision in your heart.
And you must imagine
how terrifying a sin it is to trample on the word of God while calling out, “Lord, Lord.”
“For yet a little while,
and He who is coming will come and will not delay.” (Hebrews 10:37)
The Word of God is certain, yet many fail to understand the gospel and follow different gospels.
Who is the god you believe in?
Is it the God revealed by God Himself?
Am I believing in the God revealed in the Bible?
These are questions we must seriously consider.
