The Great God, the Great King

For the Yehowah is the great God, and the great King above all gods.
In His hand are the depths of the earth,
and the heights of the mountains are His also.
The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.
Oh come, let us bow down and worship;
let us kneel before the Yehowah our Maker.

“For forty years I was grieved with that generation,
and said, ‘They are a people who go astray in their hearts,
and they do not know My ways.’ So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest.’” (Psalm 95:3–7)

God was angered with the Israelites in the wilderness whose hearts were led astray.
And He said to them: “You shall not enter My rest.”

The great God, the great King, came as Immanuel, becoming a man.
Yet people, with hearts led astray, crucified the great King.
They cried out, “Crucify Him!” But the great God is the source of life,
so He destroyed death and rose again.
And yet people killed the apostles who proclaimed this amazing news.

Even now, people oppose the coming of the great King.
They become angry, saying that Jesus is not the everlasting Father.

Jesus Christ is the great God and the great King.
The name of that God is the Yehowah.
He became flesh and blood for His children and rose from the dead.
This is the gospel. Hallelujah!!
