Unless the mystery is revealed that Jesus is the Root of all mankind
who came into the world as a man, the Scriptures cannot be fully understood.
For the Bible, from beginning to end, is the testimony concerning Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
When this mystery is revealed, we come to understand that Jehovah
in the Old Testament and Jesus in the New Testament are one and the same.
That is why Jesus declared Himself to be “the Root and the Offspring of David.”
Before He came into this world as a man, Jesus Christ was known as Jehovah,
the Everlasting Father. He came to redeem us from our sins and to give us eternal life.
By coming in the flesh, He became the Son of God and was called Jesus Christ.
“So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him:
for that which had not been told them shall they see;
and that which they had not heard shall they consider.”
Isaiah 52:15
“Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
and said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behaved Christ to suffer,
and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations,
beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.”
Luke 24:45–48
